Well yesterday morning my wife Ruth found our Black male cat on the edge of the road after he had been run over by someone, very upsetting since he was not one to wonder across the road. Who ever did this definitely had to swerve to the shoulder to hit him. He was a great barn cat and was a pleasure to watch with my male Brittany the two of them were like litter mates although Buster of course is a bird dog. Black Jack is going to be missed by us and Buster.

To Everyone who sent there good wishes and concerns: This is incredible news BLACK JACK LIVES!!!! Yes you are not misreading this. Ill try to explain there was another black cat in our area that a few neighbors have mistaken for Black Jack and had told us they saw him on occasion in the yard across our road, we would tell them. It couldn't be him he never crosses the road, but as I wrote the other day there was a cat that looks Identical to our Black Jack and he was the one that was unfortunate to be run over by someone. So yesterday I see Black Jack come running out from under the wood shed, and I yelled to Ruth there goes Black Jack. Well she looked at me as if I were going nuts but I was sure it was him. I watched all day yesterday for him again but never saw him and was beginning to think I had a spiritual cat siting until this morning when Ruth came in teary eyed and said she just held her Black Jack in her arms and gave him a big hug. It was a great moment for me as well I was now convinced that I didn't loose my mind and was elated that Black Jack is still alive and well. Thank you all again for your good wishes they came true!

Yes it is a pity that the other black cat met with such a horrible death, but Ruth and I are very grateful that Black Jack is still alive, as a mater of fact Ruth came in the house tonight after feeding the cats out in the barn and told me she had held Black Jack for a while just because she is so relieved that it wasn't him. Thank you again, and thank you for Black Jack too.
