get ready i took them in this morning, they said they should be back by wednessday afternoon, coarse i'll have to take more pictures right away because they just keep growing.. i even have a girl but she's not far enough out i guess.. heres where i'm going to run into trouble, i just hate the thought of pinching of the little things.. jerry was teasing me yesterday about that... pinching blossoms and thinning are my biggest downfall, i don't have the heart . my pumpkins are enjoying a nice drink of water.. good God that thing drinks alot.. pretty soon my neighbors are going to start turning up missing... accually just about any weekend will work from here on out, the guys are hauling corn but the elevator is closed on saturday and sunday. i really do need help with the pinching, my pics should be in tomarrow, gosh i hope they turn out.. mr pumpkin pants is doing great but it might be time for professional help... for the pumpkin that is.
Basket ball huh? You might start thinking about your vines at this stage to make sure they are not against yer fruit, to avoid this you can gently pull yer pumpkin back a tad each day or it could snap off in time from the shoulders expanding. Do this on warm days when yer vine is elastic enough to work with. Your vines should be uncovered at about 3 ft from yer fruit on both sides because as yer pumpkin grows it will pull the vine upward with it. If the vines have roots already near the pumpkin you can gently cut them and it should rise. Can you show us a pic to see where your at, would love to see it
i will try to get a pic soon but i have a few ouestions. it has been very hot the past two weeks will that effect the growth rate of my pumpkin? I see it every day and the wife says its growing but i dont see it.i havent seen any of the bugs yall talk about do they live in virginia?
