Well, basil is very delicate, so it shouldn't be cooked for longer than 2 or 3 minutes. I use my basil in all my pasta and tomato dishes. I even use it as "lettuce" on my sandwiches! Thanks for asking.

I love fresh basil! I didn't get to grow any this year, but have to start some again next year! I also used it in tomato type dishes! VERY yummy!

i use basil in my pasta n tomatoes too! this spring will be my first time growing any. i got some in a seed trade. very pretty hollyberry! nice to know what it looks like as a plant.

Your very welcome Christy! "Genovese" is my favorite basil, although there are many other varieties too. Pasta and tomato dishes just aren't the same without basil![/glow]
