Had a BEAUTIFUL couple days here (rained at night). Spent most of the last couple days outside. And even though my veggie and flower garden are quite small, I did get a lot done.
In the ground: 1 row - red taters (can't remember the exact variety). Also threw in a couple extra organic russets I had. 3 1/2 rows - green bush beans (organic tender green and kitchen king) 3 mounds - organic cucumbers (Straight Eight)
In the raised beds: Roma tomatoes and 1 "Giant" tomato plant. My friend gave it to me. He said it was some sort of Heirloom variety. Thought I'd give it a try. I'll be putting in the rest of the maters (celebrities, fat boys, grape, etc) next week sometime.
In the Container Garden: Jalapenos a couple Serrano pepper plants And a handful of bell peppers (various colors)
Flower beds: Planted some more Black-eyed Susans (I had a gap in my "Black-eyed-Susan bed"). Divided up my Sedum Spectabile into 4 sections Planted some new Zebra grass on the corner of the bed (surrounded by the Sedum) Got everything trimmed up and well-fed. My new load of mulch should be here on Monday.
Herb Garden: everything is looking pretty good so far. I'm planning on planting a bunch of dill along the house. I've never tried it. Hope it takes!
I'll try to take some pics once everything starts looking purdy. Happy gardening everyone! Mike
