Phil did the ditch diving yesterday & today we went to a park that is loaded with the berries. I will make juice out of the berries tomorrow & make jelly when it is the right temp & not humid. We have red raspberries also & they smell great & taste yummy too. ;D

I did the same thing with a bumpercrop of red currants this year, Laura. Froze them and I'll make jelly later. No sense in wasting a good thing!

Sounds like good eats in the making. No Raspberries here. But dewberries and blackberries are plentiful. Also our blueberries did pretty good this year. I have been making fig preserves also. CF

Were they Black Raspberries? Yes they were black for the most part, probably had 30-40% red..my favorite...with em' mixed Laura made some VERY delicious jelly.. that would be great Christy, but our backyard is too close to the cornfields...we have ild berries in a safe spot, then we have berries here I wouldn't pick due to the farmers spraying their crops

That would suck to have neighbors that sprayed. guess im lucky to have all catle farmers around me. theres tons of corn fields but its to feed their animals. sometime the township dose spray the roadsides so ive been trying to grow them in the yard. the birds are also helping out with that cause theres a few on my bank i know i didnt plant ours are the black one too. we will pick them when there half red or "purpple" cause we cant wait ;D
