Is there a way to remove a thin layer of paint from vinyl wallpaper? Our 2nd bathroom had flowered wallpaper and I hated it. I started pulling it off one nt. And the first layer pulled off good. The second, yes second layer came off with hot water and a scraper, now I am down the the pink pt the former owner put on the original wallpaper. it is very thin, you can see the color of the wallpaper in places. I read that you can get small amounts of paint off with rubbing alcohol. I would love to it the pt off and down to the original wallpaper.

I actually like the wallpaper underneath but yeah, I can cover it with something else. The woman before us had everything is this place pink at one time. I swear every room. And like I sd. there was 2 diff. wallpapers over top of the pink paint she had put on the original wallpaper. So, she must just like decorating over and over. I just had to get that BIG pink flowered wallpaper off that wall in that small bathroom. It is down to the thin layer of pink paint and the wallpaper peeking thru. But it looks bigger and I can breathe better in there. But the pink walls have to go.
