I have a volunteer in my garden that may be fennell. What other plants/weeds/wildstuff might look like fennell? Its bluer looking that any fennell I've seen (I'll work on a piccy)

Speaking of dill, I think dill can have negative effects on carrots or tomatoes if planted too closely. I also read that dill will repel squash bugs - NOT true.

I need to grow a bunch of dill so I can use it in pickling , I know you can save the seeds and use but seems dill is not ready or over ready buy the time I need it .... I usually get it at the market when I need it

Try it. Dill is easy to grow and then just let some of it flower and you've got dill forever whether you want it or not.
