Change of plans for us today 102° right now and climbing, we just walked in the house and the plan is Tater salad, and mac salad, water melon balls, strawberries, peaches, and grapes. To hot to BBQ and to hot to cook. I have some fresh tomatoes to cut up now. But I don't want anything hot to eat. 102° is too hot fer this neck of the woods. City must be scorching today. Ralph can you imagine what Newark is like today?

Yesterday we had Macaroni salad and fruit salad. Today Potato salad, and some Grits and fish. Had french toast made with home made double wide loaf of bread....delicious. Can't do that every day, it's too much starch.
Seams like everything I love is fattening.

Joe, we have'nt used any marinade or rub in awhile, just salt and pepper. It's been so damned hot down here we mostly been eatin veggies from the farmers market and what our friends gave us. Although, we have had a ham, mussles and a steak from time to time...oh, and chicken(Martin's fav). We've had lots of rain to go with the heat. Alot of pholks gardens failed cause of the rain.

Well bro sounds like our weather has been the same this season, with the same results. Not a whole lot of good results with vegetables, except sweet corn. I'm going to try a dry rub of my own concoction...salt,pepper,stake dust, brown sugar, and smoked cyan pepper. I let ya know how that works this weekend.

Yikes, wife did her first rub a while back and caked it on bigtime,it was horrible,LOL,live and learn.Like when she tried to fry the chorizo with the plastic skin.... sounds like time to go to food network and check some recipes maybe? Though your rub Im sure is going to be excellent.
