Christy, I love that plant, Very pretty. Do yours come back each year? I have trouble growing them here, Haven't a clue as to how come. CF

Christy, I love that plant, Very pretty. Do yours come back each year? I have trouble growing them here, Haven't a clue as to how come. CF Strange plant,its an invasive weed in my yard,neighbor across street has trouble growing them,very odd flower.

Thanks Holly Hocks are biannual's ..ya know leaves frist year flowers the next.. CF when yours go to seed dont just let them reseed themselves, work the seeds into the ground so the birds n critters have a lesser chance of getting them and so you get leaves this fall that will die off then flowers next summer. I use a garden claw to loosen the soil and work them in or sometimes I use jiffy pots to plant them. they have tap roots and dont like being transplanted. so far mine have come back every year for the past 10 years. Spuds maybe you should take all your seeds off and toss them in your neighbors yard W8in sorry you missed your blooms. hopefully nexy year you can get a pic. My soil there in is clay and rocks. cause its up by my driveway.

I have trouble getting them to grow in my yard too. Once in a while one will show up but not many and not every other year.
