Got the hoops bent,no idea how long they need to stay like this to assume the position. Getting jig built I had to connect the bottom three with three screws on left, then after that just one screw to 4x4 once jig was positioned into proper curvature. That took a while moving and pounding stakes to get it right. This is the top of hoop, very pleased with the angle and how close they came to even. This is about 7.5 feet from base on height, and that should be right where ridgepole fits in. Hoops - all of them,in place in jig,Im very pleased with latest progress.Looks like, per measurements, that the curve should go over 4x4,then with a 4x4 cross-member and 2x6 on that for a ridgepole the fit should be right on target, wont know until one hoop goes up,and that is limiting what I can do until it does.

So wish I was close enough to come check out your setup. Love the windsock by the way.
So tell me again (cuz I'm pretty sure I've asked before) are you going to sell all this stuff you end up growing or are you planning an earthquake? I mean duck eggs, chicken eggs, fruit, vegetables, flowers, seems like you've got it all.

Things are really moving along.Today was getting tanks up.No way to get thru gates. At the narrowest they are 39.5 inches.Between my fence and Rich's roof is 39.51 inches I swear. He came home this afternoon with 2 buds in tow,and I asked for help. They moved those tanks for us,and passed them over fence to me and Mrs. They will have tomatoes next year for sure! What NICE young men! We will do our tanks like this only with 2 beds on top of each tank instead of one.So 2 tanks, each with 2 grow beds on top. Then they will be in a L shape, along 2 sides. Got em in hoophouse!

What made you decide to build this? Our short growing season makes veggies so hard to grow here. This will add months to our growing times, and allow faster growth with the aqua system.

Will you grow all year? I love your setup. I have a huge learning curve to face.I HOPE we can grow things like kale in winter, and take cuttings of tomatoes and such and keep them alive over winter and get a big jump on growth when weather starts to change. What will happen in reality I just dont know until we try.Im still learning mtn gardening after many years. I will keep the thread up all along the way so we all can learn from it,and maybe folks in a similar situation it will help even more? You will see as we go along this wont be a heated greenhouse,it isnt that style, but I can afford to heat a grow-bed or 2 to keep them above freezing so can do winter hardy and keep some other things alive hopefully over winter.I will make little hoophouses over grow-bed(s) and use christmas tree lights for little heat to prevent freezing on them is the plan?

I put in 16 inch tall,4 inch drainpipe for tree watering.I will move the blue duck pond to top of hill, plump in a hose bib,and water trees with duck fertilized water.Trees get potent water,we save water with the below surface watering, and ducks get daily or so fresh water.A win win win in the drought conditions going on now.
