I finished fertilizing the straw bales. I'll water the next few days and see what the weather does. One tiny Abe Lincoln tomato seedling has sprouted in the pretend green house.

The dirt came from a place called Blue Max which is about 25 minutes from my house.
We could all use the help of Jesus and a man like Jesus - comprendes?
Johnny has a plumbing company and these guys work for him and he sometimes has them working at the house. Harvey was also here yesterday. He and Russell worked on taking down the barn, which is a much bigger project than I thought it would be. They've worked on it 3 days and it's still not completed. Last week Roger worked with Harvey and Russell on the barn. I've fired Russell and Roger more times than I can count. Those 2 are definitely not allowed at the house if I'm not here. Roger is a thief and a con man and Russell is a crack addict who has fried his brain and unless you tell him every step to take he forgets and either doesn't do anything or does it wrong. Last year we left Russell here to watch the dogs for a few days and when we came back he had bagged up all the stuff, even the green tomatoes, out of the garden and tried to sneak it out of the house with him. I had always given him stuff out of the garden but it stopped that day. Not only did he take the ripe tomatoes but he took every single one of the green tomatoes too and all the squash - tiny, big whatever. Said he was taking it to his sisters for a 4th of July party. Made me furious. Didn't leave us a thing. When Jesus comes he works with me. He can do the work of all 3 of them in half the time, doesn't need to be told what to do, and he isn't a thief. Johnny says I can't get along with anyone and he's mostly right because I don't deal with thieves, stupidity, or drug addicts.

Thats all I got is men folk around, it's not having them around it's making them do stuff thats the problem! If they cant sit ontop a motor they don't want to do it. Aka Bobcat or excavator! Just give them an excuse and they will be in a machine!
I also do not deal with liars, cheaters and drug users!

You guys are crazy people.
It's been raining for 2 days so the straw bales are happy.
A few of the Abe Lincoln seeds have come up in the pretend house. The squash and cukes really need to be planted next week. They have their 2nd set of leaves and are out growing their little pots.

I moved the squash and cucumbers out of the pretend greenhouse and put them up against the back porch. A friend told me I need to "toughen them" before I actually plant them. I've never done this so I'm hoping it works.

Yup harden them off. They have been protected in the "Pretend" green house . you take them out a while let them get some weather. Bring them back in. Tomorrow take them out a lil longer , bring them back in , till they don't croak in the weather in one day. It's like getting used to the sun. You cannot go out in the middle of summer and spend all day in the sun. A lil at a time

So far the plants look fine. They're up against the house so wind hasn't been a problem. Would they have already been damaged? I didn't put them back in the pretend green house.
Penny, Mr. Rape hasn't been around for a while. He did mess up some doors a while back but in the end he fixed them and has been back to do some work in the kitchen since. I just love him and miss him. He was at my house every day for over a year. He has never told us the entire door story but his other work is impeccable. He's the one who built the pretend green house so I guess impeccable is the wrong word because the green house didn't turn out to be a real green house like we discussed. I do love him though. He comes and leaves like a shadow - hardly says a word and doesn't make a mess.

I am in GA but I asked Johnny this morning and he said they look fine. I'm still going to wait a week or two to plant. It's just too early to put them out in the elements totally.
