We call'em scaley bark hickory here and i really want to try this...it sounds great cause i use hicorky when i smoke.

I like hickory, pecan and sassafras wood to smoke with. Depends on what I am smoking. Hickory, beef, pork and bacon. pecan, chicken, bacon, sausage. Sassafras, really good on chicken and some mild sausage. CF
