What are you doing for Thanksgiving ?

I am having my kids, their S.O.s and the grandkids over.Like every year.
Making my famous meatballs, a beef and a pork roast, dressing(even tho no bird),mashed(garden) potatoes,gravy from the roasts,2 kinds of squash from my garden, cranberry sauce(of course)and my DIL is bringing a "from scratch" green bean casserole(all fresh ingredients-nothing canned). I am making an apple pie from my apples and my daughter is bringing a pumpkin pie. 2706

What are you folk doing on my favorite holiday ?

Weather permitting going to my daughters, then after Dave's brother is having a open house, his sister is in town. He usually has thanksgiving at his house but now that he moved into a much smaller house, that cannot hold the growing family. He will have a open house I like that idea. No time limit. No rush to get there no food to make altho I will anyway. LOL

Guess we will be cooking for all the kids and there family. About 30 people. We do it every year, I am about ready for someone else to take the lead. I keep telling my wife we getting to old for all these holiday meals. Never mind the cost, its the work. I love all my family and enjoy seeing them. But we are getting tired. Last thanksgiving we had the meal catered, $600.00. Our youngest is 40 years old, not counting the grand kids. I have turkey, ham and pie duty wife doing the other stuff. Gonna be fun, Happy Thanksgiving Y'all. CF

Ohhh My CF! 600. bucks! Yea I'd at least say we have to split this up. HAve one person bring the Turkey one person bring the potatoes one person bring the ham and so forth. Thats crazy! We were doing that before BIL bought a smaller house. Altho the one year his Brother and sister in law made the turkey and it wasn't browned. It was fully cooked but not browned. So you are at others mercy cooking. We used to switch up who brings what.
