I want to have a garden this year. (If my arthritis will permit,)
What can I eat? How much do I need?
Have 4- 4 x 8 foot beds ready. Lumber on back porch for more beds but will have to buy dirt for them. I think lumber is 16 feet as was bracing for the shed 16' x 20'. Odd Squad used for cement work out back. They did wash it off what they could. Not sure if they cut up some. Have to figure out lengths. I want 2' wide bed along the north fence and about 40' long. I drew it in to the plan. There is room for another 4 x 8' bed in the row with the other ones. I have seed and two bags of dirt for beds. I have seed start mix , a few bags. Cost will be if I do additional beds for dirt. Lumber is limited to the few boards I have on porch.

I do eat tomatoes much due to the Vit K and acid. Thinking yellow as less acid. Least they are a little less. Or are suppose to be. I need get a table set up at south window. Should have already maybe did the eggplant. And peppers as take time to start. I only have one south window and it as heat duct under it so be bottom heat. 4 beds do not hold much. I am use to half acre or so. BUT just food for me. Now to figure if the stuff will grow how much I would I need.

Nice Colorado! You can stuff also right? You can the extra to carry you thru winter? I could never figure out how much to plant according to how much I can eat. I always go over board. My kids have no problem taking up the slack, Or my Brother In Law.

I got my table set up today in front of south window. Hard job as no room or not enough to normally set it up.
Water faucet for garden will not have water on till lawn water system is turned on. Faucet on back of house can be used. I have plenty of hose. So have water I can use now and would have to run it down the back walk to garden. Faucets front and back of house are no-freeze.

Those are nice! Dave put one in at the back of the house a couple years ago. So he doesn't have to carry water to the turkey from in the house, We he didn't consider her water bucket is froze so he still brings it in the house to thaw out.
