I had a sandwich with my cloud bread it was an experiment , I seen on pinterest if you put it in a baggie over night it taste more like bread. Nagh nope! It kinda gets sticky. I like it better fresh. But the other night I made a roast so I had me a roast beef sandwich. I have some goose eggs I might use them to make more LOL .. I don't have it in me to just cook up a goose egg!! Tonight I am not sure! Left overs for sure.

We are having pizza tonight...carry out/bake at home.... First though we are having Tea and Crumpets at the neighbors house... She wants advice on gardening and Farmer Marketing.. WE need MORE LAMB!! so after some clean-up and organizing in the basement I'll be makin' Crumpets 2706 Not that I could eat it, but how do you make Crumpets? Wendy...No, you couldn't eat these on your diet...But, I saw many recipes for them that You could eat... a lot were made with AP flour, some with whole wheat, some a mix of both... Sorry I didn't take the time to study the gluten free recipes..Just google it First for crumpets..you need CRUMPET RINGS...costly...but they can be made out of aluminum foil...make a band, folding a 14" sheet of foil upon itself several (3-4) times into a 1 1/2 tall band..fold it around a can, round glass. etc. that will yield a circle about 3 3/4 diameter, seal it on the outside with tape.. The rest..is like making pancakes... and by the way... don't let the TOTAL PREP TIME scare Ya...I was finished, with the one hour rise time AND clean-up in 2 hours
Here's the Recipe..By the way...They turned out GREAT!! see Pic! (taken when I was halfway through) CrumpetsPrep:15 mins. to 25 mins Bake:15 mins. to 20 mins. Total:1 hrs 45 mins. to 2 hrs 45 mins. Yield: 20 crumpets These are best enjoyed toasted, and spread with butter, jam, and/or clotted cream. Since their holes reach to the outside crust, there's no need to split them before toasting. 12 ounces lukewarm water 8 ounces lukewarm milk 1 ounce melted butter 14 3/4 ounces bleached or unbleached All-Purpose Flour 2 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/4 teaspoons salt Directions Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, and beat vigorously for 2 minutes. A stand or hand mixer, set on high speed, work well here. Cover the bowl, and let the batter rest at room temperature for 1 hour. It will expand and become bubbly. Towards the end of the rest, preheat a griddle to medium-low, about 325°F. If you don't have an electric griddle, preheat a frying pan; it shouldn't be as hot as the temperature you use to cook pancakes. Lightly grease the griddle or frying pan, and place well-greased 3 3/4" English muffin rings in the pan, as many as will fit. Pour sticky batter by the scant 1/4-cupful into each ring After about 4 minutes, use a pair of tongs to slip the rings off. Cook the crumpets for a total of about 10 minutes on the first side, until their tops are riddled with small bubbles/holes. They should be starting to look a bit dry around the edges. Their bottoms will be a mottled, light-golden brown. Turn the crumpets over, and cook for an additional 5 minutes, to finish cooking the insides and to brown the tops gently. This isn't traditional; "real" crumpets are white on top Remove the crumpets from the pan, and repeat with the remaining batter, until all the crumpets are cooked. Serve warm. Or cool completely, wrap in plastic, and store at room temperature. To enjoy, warm in the toaster. Serve with butter, or butter and jam. Yield: about twenty 3 3/4" crumpets. and TaDa...

I just got kicked clear off and had to login. made it.
I had to look up white lentils. Are black lentils with the skin removed. Mostly used in India dishes. Not usually in grocery stores and pricey it said. I do mot see yellow split peas in stores here any more. When I was kid mom cooed them. I though awful tasting. Few years back green split peas were like 16 cents a pound. I tried and like. price is way up now.lentils were cheap too.

I would say pinto beans would be main bean here. Sam's only sell pintos I saw. Big bags of regular rice. Supermarkets have more variety. Bulk store did not have much better. They did have barley.
Supper will be chiclen, fried potayoes, and green beans.

I like pinto beans. Some restaurants around here put sugar in them and it ruins the taste. Is that a southern thing only?

Sugar in pintos or beans is to kill the gas. Should not use that much. Diane Kennedy in Mexico cookbooks used epazote to kill gas. Pinto for Mexian cookery. I don't think sweeten beans is south western or Mexican, Baked beans are sweet and north easeten

If You don't like them sweet...Just balance the sweetness with an acid..Cider Vinegar, or lemon work well..

We buy them separate them and freeze. I had never heard of them before 10 years ago. They were cheap and sometimes look like they will be tough, I thought well lets try them! One of my fav's now.
