We almost NEVER have a day here come spring planting time, that we don't have 25-30 mph. winds (being conservative here) So last year we tried pelleted carrot seed Almost 100% germination failure we replanted with standard seed, and they all came up... Same soil, same process, the pelleted seed info I can find preaches FRESH seed, which they were and steady/even watering This seed order...we somehow chose another packet of pelletized carrot seed, in with the other carrots... Any Info on, or what we may have done wrong last year?

Yes it is, makes growing anything Tall, very tough. The average wind speed here in April is 19.9 mph...and when you're sitting out here on flat land...

Doubt would help in wind actually seed tapes would work, the cost though is restrictive. we plant hundreds of row foot of carrots, and those tapes are around 14 dollars for 15 foot of tape.. If we were more motivated in the winter....we would make our own seed tape shke
