green peas rarely make it inside to cook. we eat them right out of the pod while still in the garden. hehehe
what few actully do make it inside i shell and put in a small bowl for the stragglers to munch on.

Nope, never have any luck with peas in the package. They usually grow better if you first plant them in some dirt, and second water the dirt. I have much better result if I follow the afore mentioned two steps. My peas are up about 4 inches. Should start to send out runners pretty soon. Then I will train them to climb the cages.

Put in the Alaska peas this morning, & going through the seeds to find what else can go in ground before last avg. frost date. Wonder if it is too warm now to do more cilantro--might go up to 80 degrees today through Tues., & weeds are loving the warmth after last week's rain.

I think I got ahold of some bad seeds, about half didn't come up. I replanted some today, cream 8's. I also replanted some Blue Lakes, the dog liked to waller in that bed. Hopefully he found a new bed for a while out of the pea patch. The rest are up about 8-10 in. and sending runners. Trudy

CF, yes Cream 8's are peas. Makes a clear broth, not to big or small and so good. I wanted the Cream 40's but they were out, Cream 8's are the next best thing. The BL is snap beans. T
