Been a LONG time since I've been on here,,, everything looks GR8 PHarmer PHil!!!! ;o) Don't know iph anyone has gone through this situation, but I've had a very persistant robin that sits on the hand railing on the steps to our phront door, switches phrom one rail to the other and phlies almost non-stop into the window on either side oph our door.... it's making a real MESS on the windows,,,, not to mention the railing and carpeting.... Now I LOVE the robins, but are there any suggestions on how to make this bird stop doing this??? Thanks in advance, phor any help... Ya'll take care and have a GR8 spring!!!! ;o)

Try putting a stained glass hanger or something on the window so that the bird can tell the reflection is not another bird. Wrennie(another member/mod here) sells something like this in her store. Send her a PM- she can explain it a bit better than I can- I need more coffee!
BTW~ Welcome home!!

suncatchers, window clings, are better if he's hitting it by mistake cause they break up the reflection. It sounds more like he's trying to fight the other bird, his reflection. if you hang screen on the outside of the window it might stop him. It can be hung like a curtain doesnt have to be taut. First time I've heard of a robin doing this. Its pretty common in male cardinals up here. Car mirrors, shiny reflective mirrors.....

THANKS everyone phor your ideas and suggestions.... Bephore I got on here to see iph anyone had posted, the robin was out almost bephore sun up this morning, hitting the window again,... I got to thinking that maybe iph I spray on some "cooking oil" that it would make it slippery and he wouldn't be able to stay on the slanted railing,,, but he was a lot more talented than I gave him credit phor... LOL!!!! This aphternoon I tried just closing the curtains completely phor about an hour or so, then reopened them and this POSSIBLY??? may have worked.... ?? (we have windows on both sides oph the room, so he might think he can phly right through ~ ha!) Thanks again phor your ideas,,, I'll put them to work iph the "curtain closing" doesn't work.... PHarmer PHil,,, I got "tickled" on your opening comment... lol ;O) Happy Spring ya'll ;o)
