My little house dog Gussie was hit by a truck yesterday.. He is in the Vet Hospital now.. He's got a heap of swelling, he has a Busted Pelvis his testlicles were mashed up into his Stomache, I think..His back is not broken thank god....but the vet is most worried about him being herniated... I guess the Vet is giving him another day then he is gonna try and do some Laser work to reduce the swelling... Cavey was the one to speak to the vet so I'm not exactly sure what All the Surgery entails.. but its got us worried to death.. I don't blame the man who hit him because We've tried to break little Gussie from running cars..but he keeps doing it.. after the man hit him, the Guy was our neighbor, he brought him to us right away which was good. because the vet said time was of the essence.... Our neighbor felt so bad about it he was actually almost in tears himself... Little Gussie is the most loveable pet anyone could ever want to have around a young'un or baby... The Critter keeps calling for him, wondering where he's at and how come he isn't here for him to play with.. Here's a Pic of my Little Gus asleep on my Dinning room table: and Here's a Pic of my Dog's getting a treat.. Lady{R.I.P}the Shepard, Minnie the Black and White Rat/Fox Terrier and little Tan Gussie.. so if you all have time please say alittle prayer for my gussie.. thanks for letting me vent...

God Bless, Cave Phamily. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how much it hurts, be strong. I hope J'nette will post her "Rainbow Bridge " poem for you. I know it helped me a lot when she posted it after the loss of my beloved Rugzby.

So sorry for the loss of your dog. I know how bad it can hurt to lose any animal as they can be great friends. They dont judge, and they dont talk back, they are good listeners and love you unconditionally.
Before we got the fence Tip would have to go out on a 24 foot retractable leash when she went out to potty. Bless her heart she is a good dog and will mind well, but her nose gets her in trouble and she will let it lead her astray, all the way to the road, the one time she didnt listen ( I was trying to trust her to go pee and come back) and thats all it took, cause of course there was a car coming, she wasnt listening to me for nothing, and it was too far away for me to get there in time...never again. She was never allowed off that leash again if we went out front. Now, we have the fence, and she can go potty all she wants, for as long as she wants and I dont have to worry.
I don't know what I would do if I lost her, she is like my second child. I got her when Shelby started kindergarten to keep me company while Shelby was away at school. Her and I are very close, just can't think about it, so I know what your going through, and I hope for a healed heart as soon as it will happen.

oh you guys, i'm so soory for your loss..
here is a poem called rainbow bridge, it helps us when we loose our friends...
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
