Congrats on the 20 years,ya'll have a great day!! -------------------------------------------------------------- A pic of tent... Coming under the bridge is like a little lake, then about 1000 feet of sand to the beach. Lots of driftwood and tons of little rocks I didnt take pics of,very colorful, lots of seaweed.Camera got moist and lens cover was sticking, slowed down pic taking, works ok now. What really amazed me was how few people,I counted 4 other people besides us. Girl was on the leash because of her history of running off, snooky doesnt run off so I set her free.Decided since no people, long area,no place to hide and snooky coming when called to let Girl run, albeit with leash still on. Mrs was dead set against, but I prevailed. She did fine, they ran like the wind, the pic with Snooky out of pic they went flying by. Later Mrs tells me story of her and her 2 dogs on beach. She let em loose and they went running. And running. And running....she never saw em again! So she tells me AFTER I let em free,on way home I hear this,YIKES!! Rock circles, clear evidence of Alien Visitation,amazing...

By any chance, did you bring any of that seaweed home for the compost? Looks like the dogs had a good time. Bet they were tired at the end of the day.

OH, I love this!! Love the pics and love a beach where you can camp and take your dogs!! Where is this? Thank you for sharing that! Love the dogs on the shower! Again great pics, looks like a great place. The beach is San Simeon on the mid Calif coast, just a few miles south Of Hearst Castle,is a very pretty place for sure, one of my favs in the whole state. If you ever visit Calif you can skip the South and start mid state, less development and real people to meet, not SoCal yuppies. Yes,these dogs are so much fun, wish we could have kittys too but the wild animals here are death to cats for the most part, most dont survive and I dont like hastening their deaths....neighbor has two tho that are real survivors, dont get hit on street, avoid coyotes ,mtn lions and bears, etc.

BTW,I want to put in a plug for rescue dogs.
Girl and Snookers are both rescues.Right now Snooky is laying on couch with her head on my hip, sleeping. This is day 27 and this dog already loves and trusts me 100%,how good is that? She has her forever home and I have my forever doggy.
There are so many dogs needing homes and with the bad economy a lot of really GOOD dogs have lost their homes as their owners have lost theirs.
At the dogpark here I meet so many folks ,and walking the lake same story, the great majority of dogs up here ARE rescues.Only met one lady who has a rescue that isnt so good because of aggression problems and may have to take him back.So yes, there is that risk, but its miniscule and right now the quality of dogs (well behaved anxious to please and FULL of love) at the rescues has never been better.Nor the need so great as now.
Finally you will never have a dog that loves you more than a rescue, they KNOW they were saved and are so grateful, its a win win for sure, your heart and theirs both.
I like puppies too,but when it comes to need its the rescues that need us most,so please..Consider a rescue on your next dog.

all your doggy phriends are so cute too! lol wow you got to meet Elmo! Yes it was cool, hadnt seen these folks anywhere from a month to several months and they all showed up.And they really are my doggie friends,if anything ever happened to their owners they would adapt to living with Uncle Spuds no sweat. I wasnt sure that was Elmo,Im not so good at recognizing celebrities, plus I didnt want to go up to him for an autograph, him being on vacation and all. LOL,Lola the pit is sooooo sweet.IF you let her lick you,you are now part of HER pack and she will protect you from anyone else who might jostle you.Which can make life interesting for YOUR dog,who now has to share you..... OR ELSE,LOL. Plus Ive never seen a dog that can smile like her,her whole body smiles, such a flirt!

There are 2 flavors of Husky. There is the Siberian Husky,an AKC recognized breed. Then there is the Alaskan Husky, which is a mutt. More accurately they are more referred to as 'sled dogs' ,They can be a mix of many husky type dogs, and can include GSD and border collies even. They have eyes from blue to mixed to brown. They will have curled tails, strong shoulders, strong legs, bred to go 40 miles at a shot, and weigh in the 35-50 lbs range. They are not BIG like a malamute or Siberian, but are primo sled dogs and the most popular sled animal from what Im reading. Chewing the Christmas bone is Snooky,an Alaskan Husky Im pretty sure, the GSD is pure GSD. Got the rawhide bones, shaped as candy canes for 7.99 at Petco after Christmas, was that a steal or what, bought 4,shoulda bought more. click to enlarge ------------------------------- Had to laugh,Im driving home in truck in snow,a guy shoveling snow.Girl is standing with her front legs on console, looking straight out front window. The guy points and has a huge smile....from his angle,Girl was driving the truck, would have liked having THAT picture

A husky is actually a malamute / wolf mix .. I had a 3/4 wolf malamute when I lived in Oregon .. Awesome Dog soo smart and good but he did want to pack with the other dogs He would stand on his hind legs and had to of been close to 6 foot tall .. After the Pound figured out he was mine He would bring him to the house and not make me < @ the time 9 months pregnant chase after him .. But at the same time .. Rabies vaccines do NOT work on a dog with that much wolf in them Wonderful and loyal dogs

Yes,there is a fella with three wolf/mixes at the Park, they are HUGE!!! When they Jump up on hind legs their paws must be 8 feet in the air, they are HUGE!
Fortunately very friendly and never look for trouble, but when trouble looks for them, trouble changes its mind FAST!
Another fellow has a couple Siberians,1 guy has a female Siberian in love with his male. Girl is also in love with the male,'looks' of female jealous posturing when that group is all together,
LOL,girl has STARS in her eyes when she see's him, she's like a teenage Girl looking at Fabian in the day,LOL!

Thats too cute !! Any dog of that breed are awesome .. when I lost Kahlua I had to move to town I tried to replace him .. Have you ever seen the GIANT breeds they have out west these days come from alaska I tell ya his name was shack and I gave him back to the owners on account that he could yawn and swallow my little son We were nervous that he may bite one of my daycare children as he would for sure leave a BIG mark or worse the city isn't a good place for these pets .. they need more room

Then she laid down and he gave her big ,girl loved it,then he grabbed her ear with both hands and looked inside, then stuck his finger in her ear,Girl,no problem, she LOVES kids! Then he gave me a hug when they left,cute/nice little fella,Mom looked like Rachael Ray.Girl made him memories that will shape his life, awesome!!!!! I was soooooo proud of Girl and her understanding of human puppies LOL,photoshopped eyes, otherwise glowing orbs

I am shocked the little girl didn't die of his Horrid Breath [image] ------------------------------------------------ When I first got her a guy was walking with MAYBE a 3 year old girl, wanted to know if daughter could touch her, didnt want her afraid of dogs. I was a bit unsure so sorta held my hand over the side of her mouth.....she takes this BIG slow strong head turn and goes SLUUUUURP with a tongue across her face... ( Hmmmm....tastes like chicken? ) ,about covered half her face, she giggled. Shame rescue dogs have to be fixed,Girl woulda made pretty dogs with super personalities for families with kids.Serious lover, gentle and protection, what could be better than that??

Another time 2 girls about 12-13 maybe were kicking a soccor ball....Girl LOVES soccor, she runs full tilt at their rolling ball, grabs it and runs off, then played soccor (keep away) with them. They all had a great time, too danged cute!
And yet she wont give adults outside of wife and me even a second look, has no time whatsoever at all for adults.
Maybe she is on to something....
