I am finished.
I have 4 quarts of dried tomatos and 1 quart of soup mix. I think. I ran more than one load through the dehydrator and I stashed them where ever, so I might have another quart somewhere but I am too tired to get organized tonight.
Tonight is halloween. We also moved a small "sweater closet" into my MIL's room at the nursing home. We also went to church and attended the potluck. I also hit the dollar store as my son had a boy scot activity this afternoon.
I emptied the dehydrator while waiting for trick or treaters -we only got one- and I am NOT going to take care of the jars tonight!
The garden is done. finished. all dead. and the dehydrator is done for this year!

things are winding down here for sure, only the lettuce remains...under reemay, but it'll be doomed in a week or so... I officially ended the canning season this morning by making the last batch of goodies I wanted to make... a VERRRRY HOT...Hot Sauce...I just sampled it , and have decided...I may just call it "N.D.E." near death experience damn dat's HOT

I officially ended the canning season this morning by making the last batch of goodies I wanted to make... a VERRRRY HOT...Hot Sauce...I just sampled it , and have decided...I may just call it "N.D.E." near death experience damn dat's HOT I agree..it is HOT!!! But it has a very interesting taste before it burns you..a complex mix of sweet, limon, all kinds of seasonings..HOT...cant tell no more.. it's a secret.. Back to the garden..we have lettuce..& man is it good..very crisp.. maybe due to 28° night after night.. No it is holding up real well & we are eating a salad almost daily..except for the days we miss..
