Heres something I found last night on the web to do with generators. Find a used mower on the side of the road that works, and a few old pullies, and an alternator with two good cables for a battery. I'm going to give it a shot this spring just for the fun of it ROTFLMAO Here is the diagram for the alternator, this could even jump your car if you need one ROTFLMAO

I don't know about that, my trucks alternator went right to charging the battery. By the way, Nice REDNECK battery charger you got there Doug!

I need to get the right alternator setup, and next summer I can run a TV, radio, lights, and whatever will work on 12v's out in the garden ROTFLMAO

Great news!!!!! I found a pully and put ot on a old small 2 horse electric moter and placed it on the alternator and fired it up and it works great!!! I tested it on a 170 watt amp for a car stereo and cranked it up and it worked fine I had to jump it from a battery and it worked on it's own

I found a small gas engine and mounted it on a cart with wheels. Dand thing is half the size of a push mower engine and is lite. Now I will have to make a fuse panel with output conections Thumb I'll see if I can get a pic soon enough......

I had it running yesterday pushing 14 volts so I guess the alternator is ok.
