Im a Hosta freak! ill admit it haha... I have 12 so far n want/need more. heres my list. ..1=Undulata Albomarginata ..2=Undulata Hosta undulata Plantain Lily ..3=Royal standard plantain lily,funkia ..4=ventricosa ..5=sum substance ..6=white feather ..7=gold standard ..8=fortunei aureomarginata ..9=spritzer .10=fried bananas .11=gold edger .12=golden tiara ill post pics of them all so there will be lots of pics! need to upload some in photobucket first.. if you have hostas please post a pic!!

Sherri I have those!! Undulata Albomarginata med size, fast growers! blooms in july, lilac colors. . Undulata these are small very wavy.

oops the ventricosa have a dark purple flower. sum and substance , large hosta, the more sun it gets the more lighter it will get. pale ta white flowers. . white feather, small hosta, its pure white in spring then gets green in it through summer, i wish i had a better pic! its much fuller now.

gold standard , large hosta, its dark in the spring then gets a light golden color. this is may of 08 july of 08 , fortunei aureomarginata med sized hosta. its in with the U,A hostas,

I got these 4 in spring of 08. there growing pretty good now spritzer fried bananas gold edger golden tiara ok now that you see i SUCK at taking pics,weeding and mulching,,lol.

So many Hosts n so many wants lol, not really. theres only a few i really want, like the blue mouse ears,,and i want a big blue like regal blue, dont have to be regal blue, i just want a big blue one. Theres so many 'named Hosta's" that look alike, i try to phind somthing that looks abit diffrent than what i have. The only named one other than blue mouse ears i would love to have is Baja sunset, cause it looks just like my spritzer but its a light golden.

I knew a guy that collected them. He moved away or I'd ask for babies on some. He had 1 he said was 4 feet tall. Now thats a BIG hosta. Penny did ya look at the hosta library Christy posted? Holy COW!

LOL yea thers tons of hostas!! ill have to look up garden watchdog.. Wrennie you have shade, dont you have hosta's? I just dug up the fried bananas n spritzer n moved em on top the pond area. they were so low to the unkept grown the slugs had a fiest on em, I would love to dig up all the grass n put moss down there! think ill work on that this year..

Wrennie you have shade, dont you have hosta's? Hostas are crack for Deer. They devour 'em. Had them at my old house but right next to the house, dogs all around, didnt really see any deer. Here, it's deer-a-palooza. I have to grow what they dont like or fence it in. My shade is bleeding hearts, ferns, astilbes and columbines.

Good point Wrennie, that sucks that the deer like hosta's, and given the area where you live, you'd have every deer in the area dining at your house!!

That dose suck Wrennie. i get deer here n so far been lucky they leave my hosta's alone. slugs are my biggest proublem. daffs n alliums are good to grow that deer wont eat. I dont have luck with ferns. i got one wild one growning, i have bleeding hearts red n white. i keep meaning to take cuttings off them to try. columbines i have purple granny bonnets, blue star, and the yellow bloomed this year. i have white n red seeds to start n winkys i wintersowd. hope they do good. i dont have astibes....

just went through my seeds. gotta lot of hosta seeds to start!looked them up in the hosta libary, I hope they do well. only half of the ventricosa seedings came back phor me this year. I started them last year. heres what ill be starting. August moon, Christmas Tree Elegans Chartreuse edges Frosted Jade Kabitan <---looks just like spritzer but more yellow!! whoohoo Sagae and some hosta mixes n unknows.
