Hi gang, Just noticed that some of my seed potatoes have developed a little bit of light green on the skin. I know you're not supposed to eat that part, but are these still good for planting? I found one source online that said they were, but I just wanted a 2nd opinion to be sure. Your input is appreciated. Thanks! Mike

Gidday
It shouldn't matter at all cos down here we will leave them out in the suin till the sprouts are real thick and have lots of tiny roots on them and the spuds themselves get totally green.

seen pholks do em' many ways Mike...here, we cut the larger pieces into 2 with each having at least two eyes, place them in a airy & bright spot for the cuts to "heal" over... one layer deep in shallow boxes...and plant them 24 hours later...Now, they can be kept longer, but must not be allowed to dry out. the green won't hurt when planting them...But avoid greenies at the dinner table.. I know lots of pholks who do them as Jack stated, I say...whatever works best for You...
