I had a couple tomatoes in separate 5-gal containers. the wind blew one of them over, rather storm, rain and all. The top probably weighs more that the bucket, lol; I will have to take a picture.

The top probably weighs more that the bucket, lol; I will have to take a picture. that sucks Mo...they alright? wind...not a day goes by we don't have wind..5-10 normally...but there are way too many days when it's 20-40 mph. at least we have a CLEAN YARD... just don't pay any attention to the tree line or ditches to the NORTH of Us

Dang it I hate that!! I was thinking of planting mine in containers, but we get a lot of wind here to ....I know what you mean tho Phil ... "To the north of us" LOL

w8: If you do plant in containers, just stake them down. We don't have wind were every day, but when we do , it can be a good one. Phil: Yeah, I stood them up and staked and tied, didn't beak anything major. They have a few green ones hanging so maybe I can keep them upright till they ripen, hey maybe that's where the "upside down" craze came from!
