Does anyone make their own ? I just started .. 1 bar fels naptha 1 cup 20 mule team borax 1 cup arm and hammer super washing soda Grate the fels naptha into a large pot and cover with water and melt over medium heat . when totally melted pour into a 5 gallon bucket .. add the borax and washing soda . Fill the bucket the rest of the way with hot water .. Mix well with a big stick .. let sit over night.. Use 1 cup per load of laundry you can also use it as powdered form .. FINELY grater the Fels Naptha add the one cup of each Borax and Washing Soda Mix well and use 2 TBSP per load .. For about 7 or 8 bucks you can have enough laundry soap for nearly a year depending on the size of your family's .. no matter what its still a lot less than the national brands

Great advice Rita,, I used Fels Naptha soap for years, NEVER read the package BUT, it is the best there is to wash off poison ivy, oak or sumac oil from yer hide after being in the woods so it most likely, with the other ingredients...would be a damn good laundry soap...

you could also add some essential oils of your choice to it if you wanted to .. tho I think the Naptha smells just fine .. I assume that with any full concentrated soap it would be just like anything else ... RINSE WELL

Does this make it tough on your skin? We tend to itch from scented soaps of any kind.

according to the reviews i have read .. and I read a LOT before I jumped out and decided to do this .. Is ... even people with the most sensitive skin are great with this soap .. A friend of mine turned me on to this because her 1 year old was having allergic reactions to the store bought soap .. and sure enough her little one is doing great with this .. Hypo allergenic ... NO but more natural than most of the stuff on the market .. If you were to have a reaction I would be shocked really .. Nobody has said they have
