Does your dog have any ID tags on him? We lost a hunting dog one time, he was gone 6 weeks before he was found miles away on a ranch...we were able to get him back...I would not give up yet...I just keep hoping a see a happy post from you...keep praying for them...

No, he doesn't Grannyg, but you are correct, they can be gone for a long time... I'm not giving up hope...still think there's a glimmer;albeit small, of hope

Does your dog have any ID tags on him? I had the Army/Navy store make dog tags with all the info,another tag has the chip info and they are chipped.Sure would hate to lose one of the Girls,lotta pain in that.

Ya never know, He can pop back in out the blue. I have a cat that dose that. wont see him phor months n he walks right in like he owns the place.

There was a glimmer of hope yesterday..a female dog was roaming around here. However no male Tank following. Still waiting for some sign.

It has been over 30 days now. Spaz takes off every once in a while but comes home. I think it is the spring like weather that has him out looking for females. Tank though..he would have been home by now. So rest in peace old buddy!

So sorry yens are going though this, I still have hope phor Tank. you might see him tied up at some ones yard this spring, My cousin the city slicker made me think of tank yesterday. We were driving into town n seen 2 dogs on the road. Phirst thing out his mouth was awww someone droped off there dogs ifn I had a place to keep em I would.... I said its prob the neighbors dog!! not all dogs you see in the country are drop offs! we own dogs too!

I do think there are a lot of drop offs out here. We see dogs all over the place that dont belong here.

I didn't have much of a problem with "stray" dogs on the farm. Now, drop off cats was another story. My dogs usually took care of that problem though.

Phil and Laura: I just came back to this post today to see what was new with Tank's missing and was very sorry to read that he has not come home. I hope that somehow he is still just roaming around, and does show up. I really feel for you guys, I know how it feels to loos a true friend like Tank.
