Smallest basket yet - yes, that's a standard size piece of peppermint candy. I may be able to weave a smaller basket, but it'd be a challenge....LOL!

Good idea, but since the reed (rattan) that I use is manufactured overseas, they treat it with an insecticide - I'd be very hesitant about using a basket to strain any potable liquid....

I wondered about that. PErhaps you'll have to find some local reeds to dry for edible arts.

That is really cool oneoldbear. how did you ever get yer fingers to work somethin that small? Like I told my cousin when she asked the same thing - I just use my little brain LOL! She laughed and said "Well, I should be able to do it too!" Seriously, I made an "assistant" (patent pending, LOL) out of a peanut butter jar lid. Drilled 8 small holes to hold the spokes while I start weaving the center. Once I get the center big enough to "lock" the spokes into position, I slide the whole assy from the lid and continue weaving until I get to the size I want, and finish off the rim....Actually easier than working on big baskets....
