Well very soon I will be dropping seeds ( not just maters mind you ) and I will be pretty busy as maters alone will be 100+ plants. The I have decided most of the varieties that I will be planting. There will be the Van Wert Ohio tomato which Lurly was kind enough to send and all of the ones which our late friends Dan and Val McMurray sent me which are Red Rock,Guido, Guildo Pietroboni,Giant Italian Paste,Gary O'Sena and Palmara's N. Italian Heirloom. Lots of new to me varieties I hope will do well here.
Supplies: My sister ,Bil,and my niece and I made a trip to Jackson over the weekend to do a bit of shopping around but I also talked them into letting me look around Lowe's.While they did not have much as yet they had lots of Burpee products. So just in case I needed it I bought some the seed starting mix and plant markers.I also found out tonight there are to dealers that carry Pro Mix in Jackson. One being Menard's which has a two cubic foot bag for 13.99. So when we go to Jackson again we will most likely pay a visit to Menard's. I also have some cell flats and twenty row seedling trays on the way and they should be here by Friday.
New tiller is in the works too as the local rental and sales store has an 8 horse Husqvarna for 649. In my book that is a bargain and will be just what I need to get the new garden and flower beds worked up.
To say I am excited about all the garden goodies we will be planting is an understatement. Will be taking pics of it all so everyone can follow along.

Sounds like you got it going on, my corn is up, green beans are sprouting and have planted a few mators. Planted a couple Eggplants and some Basil, onions and English peas. My potatoes finally sprouted and will get their first hilling soon. Been harvesting asparagus for a few weeks now. I just hope that Easter cold snap isn't to bad this year. I don't want to start over.

Oh y'all just wait the veggies ain't the only thing.New flower beds all our flowers will be started here unless I find something new.Well almost all our flowers.I have three orchids I got from Kawamoto Orchids which is in Honolulu. Found them on Ebay. They pack their plants very well so they do not get damaged or freeze . If you ever want orchids look them up first.Shipping is a little more but well worth it considering the quality plants and the care that goes into getting them ready to ship.
