We have sprouting going on in all our onion containers..& the leeks are coming up! Some have been up for 2 days already! & we have our lights ready to go for the little bitty onions. Have to go get 2 more new fixtures this next week! We are ahead in all our to do areas. Now all we have to do is hope this next storm misses us. They say we are in for up to a foot of snow. I really hope they are fibbing.

So..things have been moving right along. The plants are in the green house. We are still bringing them in if it is too cold out at night. The peppers are too small yet to leave out. Tomatoes will stay out tonight with the heater on. We had to re-pot them today. Onions are just waiting to go in the ground. Broccoli is looking real good too. We will have to get some pics of the young-uns. ;D ;D

We have a load of horse manure coming tonight or tomorrow. Been looking found another source also. Phil was out turning the soil over with the tater fork. Got over 720 sq.ft turned. Get it to dry & drain if it rains again. I found & bought 100 seed taters. 50 kenebecs ( sp?). 50 yukon golds. Our favorites. Farmers are getting antsy to get going. Just like the rest of us!

We only wish we were moving along. Rain every other day isn't helping us get any thing done. And it continues here. Penny is closest to me geographically and I seem to recall her saying she had turned her garden last week? Mine is still a bog. And the rain just keeps acoming..UGH. Although today's forecast says the rain is supposed to let up and Sunshine for next week. I certainly hope so! Laura, Glad to see that it has dried up enough in your neck of the woods to get some planting done. Great Gardening!

Light spring frost won't hurt root crops or onions. They are too tough to succumb to that.

The winds never stop here, in an enclosed space, there may have been some frost, but not out here..breeze/wind never stops it seems... Well we had the Pepper area ALMOST dry enough to plant, we tarped it just as it started to sprinkle yesterday...think we did good...HOPEFULLY...planting peppers today...
We finished the tomatoes on Thursday...44 of em...I do have another 8 or ten to set out in another spot
Blue, you are correct, they are tough...and that GARLIC...it's been up a long time, has been covered in frost...still, it's great...What a tropper!!!
and man it's big, and it just stands there ...even in the stronger blasts of wind...way tougher than me...
