I love trees, I wish this area had much less agriculture and more forest, the only remaining forest is north of Us "big Woods" the area was once solid woods for hundreds of miles, now only a small portion remains

This nation was largely famine proof because of its depth of feild in mast trees. Growing a few on a back fence is cheep and lots more practicle for the modern survivalist/homesteader.
You might not want to eat for a whole winter on pecan, walnut, chestnut, and apple, but you could. On a bounty year feed 'em to the hogs. Or sells em to the flatlanders...

Both my father and I got absorbed in making minatures. Pap made 1"-12" scale model wooden horse drawn vehicles. From iron shod wheels up. Carriages, waggons, tip carts, even a hearse. The hearse was complete with a casket and some of his brothers ashes in it...
Why did I wander off building what Pap described as 'trees in a bottle'? I'm afraid I have the same fuzzy answer Pap did; "I dunno". It was just something to do.

I can just about hit the floor with a digital camera. If I can pin my daughter into a corner she may be more helpful. At worst she can't be less facile.
In the event I actually Do get some pix, I'll solicit help then.
