at first glance I would call it Amanita Muscaria, but, I see no "fairy ring" around the stem? Amanita grows in almost every state here and overseas In most of North America the fungus fruits from June to November. in some areas it is NOT red, but white like the common Amanita...the DEATH ANGEL.. which the death angel is aptly named..and is far more lethal than Amanita M. At any rate, I'd say these are in the Amanita group.. probably best avoided... Unless ya wanna have a vision or re-live the 60' or sumpin heck, pick em' and sell them to the Ambrosia Society Link to: Ambrosia SocietyThey call it "The Fruit of the Tree of Life"

Thanks y'all, I know just enough to leave them alone. We get the fairy ring ones also. I truly don't one from another. I am sure we do have some that are eatable. Might be able to find a local person to help me learn. CF
