Well I still have pepper plants going from the spring, plus one cayenne that was a volunteer that came late. I made four new plants by rooting suckers of tomatoes. Here's a picture of the first of the tomatoes to set on those plants, hope I have ripening time, if not then fried green tomatoes!

Well I went with the weatherman on the frost warnings a week or so ago. I could have waited but ya never know. I picked all my Early Girl tomatoes with even a blush. When these here get eaten, that's all for 2012!

I cut my last one yesterday, bad spots on the inside, yuk. Oh well, now I can plan for next year's toms. My pepper seeds have shown no sign of sprouting, even with bottom heat. I will get some new seeds, in case those were duds. Pequins do take a long time to come up sometimes. Looking forward to the wish books coming in the mail.

Ate the last of the Bibb lettuce last night on a cheeseburger. It was yummy and so tender. I had cut the last scraggly heads about a week ago, threw away half of the leaves or better getting them cleaned up. Even at 22F there were actually a phew APHIDS down in the inner pholds! I shouldn't complain, never had any lettuce last til the middle of Dec. Now I have onions and cilantro after I pull out the lettuce stumps. I might let them be until I re-do the soil some warm day in...Feb? March??

Phil, I did. It lasted pretty good. I'm still thinning out a few onions and cutting a few cilantro leaves from time to time. Wish I had enough containers to tarp over them with some remay, hard to buy a roll for a small spot.
