So, I am onto a new project, which is turning into more than I thought. I saw a few photos on pinterest of necklaces with skeleton keys on them. I loved them. I thought Mom had one, but couldn't be found. So, I asked on facebook if anyone had one. Turns out one of my best friends had 3 that belonged to her great grandma (who kept them tied to her apron). And she says I can have one. I was so excited. Started planning my necklace. But there are 3 of us in this friendship ring and so, she brought me all 3 and wanted me to make us each a necklace. So, I have been searching for just the right things to put on these necklaces. Since the keys represent Linda, I wanted something to represent Tammy and me too. The three of us have been friends for over 25 yrs. I have decided to put "pennies" is each of our birth year to represent me "Penny". I am still trying to find something to represent Tammy.
Yeah, Tammy is a tough one, she collects nothing, she really has no hobbies. But she has been in church the past couple yrs and I think, I am gonna use crosses for her. I just need to get my holes made in my pennies. And I can start. I am so excited! These are pics of my inspiration.
I have finished all 3 yeah for me! I was starting to stress over making them all alike and perfect. Then I realized, we are not all alike and def. not perfect. So, I used the keys for Linda, Pennies in each of our birth year for me, and crosses for Tammy. I added a little extra on mine, because I am the only one that will actually wear mine. I will post pics.
So where did you get those Keys Lucy? My daughter was looking to make something for a prayer partner , I told her about your necklaces and she loved the idea... But not sure where to get the Keys.. Ebay? Or someplace inexpensive I hope
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don’t know the answer.
