Hey Phamily - still alive (barely) - was sick the whole month of December with some kind of respiratory ailment - Had my flu and pneumonia shots, but this crap felt just like a bad case of the flu - finally bit the bullet and did a walk in at the Dublin VA on Jan 4th - left home at 7:45, got to the hospital at 9, labwork and chest xray at 1045. Finally saw the Doctor in the VA ER at 6 pm - had a lung infection, got a broad spectrum antibiotic in the hip, a breathing treatment and a handful of antibiotic pills. We finally got back home at 8:20 PM.....Starting to feel a little more human - they did discover that my white blood cell count is extremely low, so any/all bugs that I encounter jump on me like white on rice. Hopefully the VA will eventually figure out what the hell is going on - meanwhile I have to be very careful and avoid crowds, etc.....Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year - I will try to get on here more - my great niece did give me an old Mac IBook G4 (2004 model!) the software had gotten corrupted, but I called Apple and the installation disc was still available for the not bad price of $18. Ordered it, reinstalled and notebook is up and running - has built in wireless card so we are able to get online - just have to learn MAC after being used to Windows all these years.....LOL!

One old Bear, You need some good old tomato, onion, garlic soup! In chicken stock! then get some good garlic gel caps and take about 4 a day until you start smelling garlic strong, then start cutting back. When garlic(natural antibiotic)is working to heal your body, you won't smell it. It's to busy working i like to tell my kid's. Onions, onions, onions, eat them, juice them in a cast iron pan(see natural medicine postings for directions to make onion syrup)and slice them up and make a poultice for your lungs, place into cheesecloth, slap it on your lungs, cover it in saran wrap, wrap up in a blanket for 1 hour, get up wash up,and feel like a new man! I'll be praying for you.Hang in there! Prayers are going up! Meantime,God helps those who use his earthy medicines of the garden variety!God Bless!

gardenhappy - you are SO right about the 'home remedies' - 99% of them work better than most people think. Mom and Dad were firm believers in using all natural ingredients - had quite a few "tar rags" on my chest as a kid - not to mention the goodies like castor oil....

My first wife was pregnant with our son (our first baby) - she was overdue, and we tried everything - riding on bumpy roads, etc. One Sunday afternoon I was working in a small flower bed/vegetable bed by the front door of our trailer - there were approx 6 or 7 steps from the ground to the front door. Her sister had came up to assist with things, and came to the front door. My wife was sitting in a lawn chair watching me, with her back to the edge of the yard. SIL did not say a word, just pointed at the edge of the yard - wife turned to look and saw a very large skunk headed towards her - she did not touch any of the steps, but actually jumped from the ground to inside the trailer - son Jerry was born at 7:40 the next morning.... That's why we've always told him he 's such a stinker......ROFLMAO>>>>
