Wowee Zowee! Lookin' good Phil & Laura! And I don't think I saw a single weed in all those pics. What's your secret, or is it just staying on it every day? What a beautiful piece of earth. Another quick question - what's the plastic wrap around the mater cages for? Is that for more of a greenhouse effect? Critter control?

Plastic is for wind protection...this week, no wind hardly at all/// Last 2 weeks, sustained 45 mph. winds..gusts to 50... plants get wind burned in minutes...They are lowered as the plants get stronger.. also handy for Vapor drift..raise em' when the neighbor sprays his corn....

We took a ride today. Went to Cannon Falls. They got 8 & 1/2 inches of rain when we got our 5. There is a small area where they keep some swan's & have the feeders that you can buy a hand full of food. Park benches to sit & watch them. Totally devastated. The swans were still there & their 3 young ones. Huge tree's ripped up & stuck under the bridges. I guess we were really lucky. We stood up 6 pepper plants & 2 broccoli plants. Tomorrow we will go out & spray the plants with fresh water with a little food mixed in. We need to wash the dirt off them.
