What a setup on the greenhouse, yep I would love one like that. Price is right too. I hate to say so but I have a 30x96 foot greenhouse, with roll up sides. Its been stacked for 4 years. Yeah, I need to put it up. Just haven't got there yet. CF

try a 5 gallon bucket Spuds with one...handle already included to hang it, just need a hole saw or sumpin to bore a hole in the bottom I would try the buckets too. unless ya double-double the bags. Could do both n see what works best for ya. Nice green house! I got the room but not the cash!

The topsy turvy conts to impress the heck outta me,the tomato is seeing almost every flower turn into a tom, thing is loaded, very impressive. The squash/cukes are BEAUTIFUL,no disease at all! Also no over heat problems, and no drying out problems, temp max has been 85F,average 81F and afternoon sun only, very impressive for my mild, powdery mildewed area Also in my short season if plant doesnt finish by cold weather,I can bring em indoors. Thinking this will really solve a lot of the problems Ive been having trying to grow at 5000 feet.

Itried the Topsy turvy b4 and was not impressed may have been my fault tho I was not home alot so they didn't get watered like they should of, I am gone to much for container gardening ... Or I have to hire someone to do it while I am gone. I'd much rather just water b4 I leave then come home to care for it I know I lead a rough life

I think the trip with the topsy turvy is conditions have to be right,in my case regular conditions so poor it seems to be in its power zone, see what happens when squash blooms,I REALLY want that and its been a multi year flop here.

Is yer whole cucumber plant looking like that just wondering if the cuke beetles are doing that The cuke beetle have saliva and is a carrier for bacterial disease that can take your plants down. This can also clog the arteries in squash and pumpkin plants causing them to wilt and slow down in growth if not sprayed www.valleyadvocate.com/blogs/gallery/infestation.jpg

Is that the only plant you have or do you have others? If you have others I would just pull that plant up just to be safe for your squash plants sake

Edit-That plant looked awful, pulled it,it has little green bugs on it,wilted badly in just last couple days. Now what, does it need to be sprayed (with what?) or does whatever attacked it just lay some eggs on a leaf?I'd prefer not to bomb it with chems, but I will (Zyklon B,Im ticked off!), I WANT SQUASH!!! Doug, great call, really appreciate it!!

Doug, great call, really appreciate it!! Zyklon B...don't think we need to go to that extreme Little green bugs..how little Spuds? this little? Thats the Melon Aphid...It didn't do the damage, but may have weakened the plant..OR, taken over because the plant was diseased... Control: rosemary oil, insecticidal soap, Pyrethrin Looks to me like (at least at 4 a.m.) Like ULO a.k.a Ulocladium leaf spot compare it to these pics bro: If it's Ulo...you did the best thing by removing and destroying it.. Fungicides as a protectant...recovery chances...slim to none... But Ulo also resembles Angular Leaf Spotwhere Copper fungicides can be applied to slow disease spread...during wet weather especially.

5 lbs today, love to watch em finishing ripening in house, then pick the reddest one for a snack. Found out the secret in our micro climate....its only start with small plants, large plants go into shock and do nothing for a month or so,killer for our short season. And when time to ripen cut off about a 1/3rd of green leaves and blossoms,POOF! They go into ripening mode. Just cant wait for next year, going to double size of planting. When we get extra maters we arent using fresh its into salsa, waterbath makes it easy to do a pint or 1/2 pint,no big canning mess like doing a ton of stuff. Producing about a lb/day,80-90 days to produce from store bought seedling plants.
