I went to pick Bub up from JROTC practice. And it was such a beautiful day, we drove up to the lake. And as we were turning an Eagle came soaring over! What an awesome sight. I didn't have my canon with me but I always grab my older Kodak as I head out. so I grabbed it and jumped from the car. The eagle landed and I snapped a couple of shots even though it was far away. I left the car running and told Bub to stay with it or take it and park it if a Ranger came. I went out a path around the lake toward it. I took a few pics. None are great but it was so great to see it. The first one I've seen outside a zoo or sanctuary. Sure wish I'd had my Canon and zoom lens but at least I got to see it. Hope to go back and watch for it and maybe get some more and better shots.
