Did ya find anyone to fix yer deere yet? Yes I did Ralph. It was the main pully on the hydra trans axle, it is a splined type that stripped from ware. I ordered a new one it should be here by Friday. Cost $60.00

The X300 John deere is fixed, and man what a difference in drive, no vibration, and smooth. Total cost for repair $105.50 That included changing the mower deck blades as well...not the price of the blades though I had purchased them a few months back. I think they were $25 or $30.
Back in business and rearing to go, I cut the grass a few days ago.

So far the transmission is holding up good. Had to replace the mower deck belt a while back, and had to plug a leak in the front tire. Belt was $60.00 or so and plugging the tire was $5.00 for the kit to repair it.
