our snow stopped sometime during the night when it started sleeting instead. It was totally stopped this morning at 8:05 but now it's snowing again. The wind isn't as strong so it doesn't feel as cold today as yesterday. Even through my gloves I thought my fingers would freeze off yesterday.

Hope you all are ok in the E. jerseycub! I also hope your ok also Bestofour! I know you both got hit with some horrid weather! We are still cold! Was looking forward to some nice "warmer" weather ! it never made it to 30º the wind has been blowing roads are blown over and still icy! Our main roads for the most part are clear. But they don't do all the back roads, came home yesterday and the road is so icy I slid right past the house ... Good thing noone was behind me. I said something to hubbs buddy he said he did the same thing. Everyone is getting a lil angry around here! So tired and over this sooo cold winter! Specially the guys who have to work in it. I cannot imagine having to work in this stuff!

Snow changed to rain,driveway is a slushy mess,I couldn't plow it because the slush is to heavy so I drove over it with the 4x4 PU to get it down.Looks like it's going to rain any minute here today 36° and the sky is black. We are staying in and making Beef Stew for caning and dinner tonight. I'm sick of talking about the weather...just giving you folks whats happening on this side of the globe. Keep safe and warm,I'm going off to the stove with Ruth.

I suppose our weather isn't that bad when compared to others but we're just so ill prepared. It's like people just won't believe it's coming so they don't have food or another way to heat when the power goes out and believe me the power always goes out somewhere. My sister is a CRNA and gets a "unexcused absence" if she's out due to weather. They won't let her take sick or vacation time. She's ok with it but other hospital workers who don't make much money and live from paycheck to paycheck have to brave the roads to be able to pay their bills.

When the weather gets so bad , people just cannot sit home after a while they have to brave the weather to go to work and stuff. Bills don't stop due to bad weather. Mi is more equiped with snow plows and salt and stuff (Not that they take full advantage if it) This year they ran out of salt. And if it gets below a certain degree salt doesn't work anyway. They revert to sand or Beet Juice or some something lol If there is alot of ice on the road. Dave has lost 4 days due to weather. Only one was considered a snow day. One was when he wrecked his truck, The others were just suckie days.
