I don't think I have posted this on here before, if I have I apologize. I had a large basal cell carsinoma skin cancer removed from my forehead in March. I ended up with a 2 inch incision but it has healed great. The bad news is, I have one on my left cheek now that has to be cut out. I am not a vain person but I really hate that I am gonna have a huge scar on my cheek. They could do i by laser but my insurance won't cover it. But I am thankful it is not melanoma!

I hope everything goes well and your scar is minimal! I had a large(size of a dime almost) mole removed from my left cheek a couple years ago and mine healed great, praying yours heals as well! How do they remove those? My moles, they cut and then burned.

I just had a spot burned off of my right cheek. It wasn't cancer tho. A friend of mine had a spot taken off he arm and I watched the Dr. take it off they cut it out. but they have to take alot around it to make sure they get it all. Hers healed real nice. Once there is no more stitches and it's healed get the stuff you can but on scars to help them diminish. Good luck! Keep us posted!

Oh wow Lucy......glad your on the mend. Do you remember a couple years ago when I got hit on the side of the face/eye area and had to get 8 stitches, I used vitamin E cream and it really does help the scar.

This will have to be cut and they will have to cut quite a bit around it to make sure they get it all. I hope for minimal scarring but more than anyting I hope it is the last one.

Had the 2nd surgery on Monday. It was rough. Harder than the last one. It has been more painful, some swelling but no black eyes (ended up with both eyes black last time). Fairly large incision, but just glad it is over.
