I have a very small schefflera plant that I just bought a few weeks ago. It sits in my kitchen window and seems to be doing great, but when I picked it up today to water it, there were what appeared to be rodent turds on the top leaves and the new leaves are being EATEN?? What the HECK?? Do mice eat plants like that? I can get a pic if need be.... HELP! Should I put something on it? I don't know what to do about this....

Notice the poop stil coming... W8in- some people call this an "umbrella" plant. I love them because they are such easily maintained houseplants!
