When I went up north the store up there has what they call flat iron steaks LOVE them and they are cheap! So I bought some on the way home. Kids left some rice up north so I took home with me and I had some sweet potatoes, so You know what I have had the last two days! I have some sweet potatoes left so I think I will cut them up and cook them in the oven. Kinda like fries but sweet potatoes. And no more steak so maby rice with black beans in there I use cumin and spice to spice it up. one of my fav dishes.

I have chicken leg things on cooking. Put pot roast sauce on them. Will see how that works. Looked like brown govey and said it has mushroom and roast garlic.
That is for supper and greenbeans debating rather to do box mashed taters.

Any of you use Ultragrain flour blend?
|
|
|
Post by Colorado on Jul 27, 2015 7:04:47 GMT -6
Ultragrain is the name they use for white whole wheat flour.
Ultrahrain blend is 30% white whole wheat flour and rest just white flour. Says all purpose.

Caveman, Sounds good but I can no longer eat cabbage. Sounds like depression food we ate,
Back in 30's dad would take a gunny sack and go down town Denver meat market and get neck bones and fat ribs, In cold weather and hang in a locked shed. It was good mile for him to carry it home at end bus line. Mom made white bread loaves.

Sorry this is so late in coming BOF but I know how she feels, I keep getting offered a job at the schools working in the kitchen. I always think it would be perfect for me. Get the weekends off, holidays off, summer off. But I cannot work in a kitchen. That would not be good!
