Good Saturday Morning,
After a very long week, very little sleep, much talking to many Professional Doctors & Nurses yesterday we will let you all know what is going on in our lives.
Me being 58 having gone through the phase of life that most women do in their early 50's my body said hey lets make Laura think she is a younger woman & put her through one more sorry (period) squint
Called the Dr. & told them what was going on. Off to the Dr. office I go.
We wait all weekend for the results..Monday 5 p.m. the Dr. office calls & drops a bomb on us. CANCER. Uterine. There are 3 kinds & 3 stages..lucky me (or unlucky) I have the 3rd type in the 3rd stage.
So we were knocked for a loop. They told us someone from Mayo Clinic would get in touch with us in a day or 2..wait ..wait..wait..nothing. So I called Mayo clinic & got the ball rolling.
We spent the whole day in the Mayo Clinic Friday.
Met the Doctor who will be doing surgery on me on Monday the 30th.
He is one of the best Doctors we have ever encountered. Very knowledgeable.
We came home more relieved than we have been in a week of stress.
They will do a complete Hysterectomy and remove some lymph nodes to check that the cancer has not spread to them. If it has they will remove as many as possible & treatment goes on from there.
We Thank-you all for your prayers & thoughts. Please cont. with them through the next week. & we will let you know more when we know more.

A really big prayer going up for you Laura and Phil. God heals and he can heal this. I believe this. God is not ready for you to leave this earth yet. You believe this also. God will put healing powers in that doctor's hands. For this I believe..In Jesus name..Amen

Hi Laura, You can rest easy as more prayers are coming your way. I've had several friends that have gone through similar. Mayo is the best place to be. They even have apartments near by you can "rent" for short periods of time for your family and avoid hotels. And, some insurance companies help cover the costs. Hang in there lady, God hasn't brought you this far to throw you under the bus! and Prayers, Mickey |

I'll pray for Laura and Phil.
It's been a long time since I checked in here. An email notice got me to check back in. I don't know if Laura and Phil remember me. I met them at a giant pumpkins weighoff in Austin, MN. My pumpkin was about 615 lbs. Theirs was about 575 lbs. Both nice and orange. I wish you all the best!

O Laura,
For sure my prayers will be with both of you. Don't be to scared i had pre-cervical aggressive cell
stage 4 and beat it! The good thing about uterine cancer is many times once they remove it it has stayed contained. Make sure once you have the surgery you don't lift to soon! I learned that the hard way.Today they have come a long way with cancer and curing it.What ever way you decide to heal it.
If it will make you feel better while you wait drink Red raspberry leaf tea,red clover, Pau De Arco,and juice carrots and drink like 1 pint a day 3 times a day. Black Cumin oil from Tropical Traditions is another really good thing to take to help your body heal.Do not take it if you go on med's though.
Take Vitamin C like 4000 to 8000 a day.You will know how much your body needs because you will get diarrhea when it's to much.Brush your teeth after if you use chew-able because it will eat the enamel off your teeth if you don't.
All those will help you strengthen your body for surgery and help you heal faster.
I make up index cards with Bible verses on them and post them all over the place to help encourage all of us as we go through my health issues or another 's issue in the family.

Laura & Phil: I haven't been on here in a looong time, but got your email asking for prayers. Of course, you will have my prayers for a successful surgery and a complete and rapid recovery. It was good that you opened up to all of us here on this forum. Many people will hold you in their prayers, and I 100% believe in the power of prayer. God will be with both of you, holding your hands as you go thru this ordeal, and you will come out of it stronger, but it will take time. May God bless you, Laura. I will be praying for you daily.

Today is surgery, I will update when possible, I have no fancy devices to do it, but believe the hospital has computers...Please pray Today..We appreciate all the kind words and sentiments here..You all are Our Family
