Hi Thought I should re-introduce myself because I've been away so long but could not stay away when I heard about Laura's plight.
Anyway, I'm Willow from Australia so when you start planting for Spring I'll be heading into Autumn etc
To be honest, I'm not much of a gardener but my hubby has been getting busy with the veggie patch because we have recently, (about 12 moths ago) changed our eating habits and no longer eat any meat or dairy. Just the occasional free range egg and maybe a piece of fish when we eat out now and again. other than that its whole food, plant based as much as possible.
Currently we have corn, butternut pumpkin and herbs such as mint, parsley and basil growing.
So I'm going to try and visit more often to garner more gardening tips from all of you - I'm sure plenty of them will translate across the pond.
I am one of the Admins at the "A Global Village" forum which some of you may have visited from time to time. It's been a bit quiet since the original form owner, Chips sadly passed away. But we are still there and hope to grow a little more this year as there is now a caravanning (trailer) section which is a personal hobby of ours - there are still plenty of people who don't wish to have a Facebook account ...

Gosh, its been a long time! Its good to see you are still here Willow! I, too, have been away, and probably will be again for a spell, but I have missed you all! My former name on this site was DAP, but I go by Pyrfect now for my pair of Great Pyrenees. I am in grad school, and still have several months before I finish. But I just found some time on my hands and had to stop in and say Hi!!!
