I said elsewhere that I don't really like gardening but I realised today that I do like pruning!! In other news the MOTH's persimmon tree has excelled itself this year and he has 5 persimmons - a personal best for the tree who has only managed two other fruits to date after 14years!! PS - my sone made that cutting board under the fruit during his carpentry apprenticeship and it's been in use every since (he's at least 5 years out)

Those are beautiful persimmon's....do you know that for persimmon's to be very sweet you should ley the frost hit them at least 2, 3 times or more. They should look almost bad to be really good. hdsk

Maybe thats our problem, South Australia has a pretty mild climate and whilst some of the country areas can get some decent frosts, we don't see it much here in the "burbs"

haven't even seen persimmons since I moved north...they do need a good chill to taste the best...Nice Job...Kudos to the Moth Man and Your son on the fine cutting board... what are the two woods used in the board..looks from here to be oak and walnut?? Sure is some lovely photography also Willow
