we had beef short ribs last night..seared, then S-L-O-W cooked in a savory braising liquid..tators, onions, carrots and celery included not sure about tonight... I think thats what I am making tonight .. with rice I think ... Slow cooked in the oven ..

We had Flat Iron steaks (my fav) and mashed potatoes with green beans. It was sooo good! Dave boiled the lil red potatoes, mashed them and put fresh garlic in them! They were very good! We had flat iron last Saturday Wendy... One of My favorites too...used to be CHEAP...not so much any longer... They are very expensive here.

I made Us a Spinach/Cheese Soufflé with a shredded cabbage salad dressed with a garlic/lemon/EVOO dressing...came out real nice... so tonight we will most likely go with fish... I have some crusty bread dough that is about 14 hours into a 24 hour slow rise... dang I love making bread...all kinds... working with Yeast.. Well.. It's a GAS Ok...weak pun...

We ate at the Golden Corral yesterday. They have changed their pricing on box to take home. They now weigh the box. Irene paid 9 dollars on hers. I did not get a box.
I looked at bean prices yesterday. Worst than I thought. I did not check rice pieces. They woukd higher here. Ay check out two peole let me go ahead as Ua only has a couple vitamins. The guy was piling his on to get checled. I said stocling up and he said yes, I told him I lived out in middle of nowhere and did that, named this town and he was from here too. He Said think how much that food bought here would cost.

Ribs turned out great!!! not as good as on the smoker but you can get good fall off the bone ribs just as well in the oven .. then we had Nacho Dip casserole and tonight we are having Jalepeno Popper Chicken .. I will let you know how it turns out .. first time with this recipe ..

Ribs turned out great!!! not as good as on the smoker but you can get good fall off the bone ribs just as well in the oven .. then we had Nacho Dip casserole and tonight we are having Jalepeno Popper Chicken .. I will let you know how it turns out .. first time with this recipe .. jalapeno popper chicken...Tell me MORE!! I have a fantastic rib recipe, smoky chipolte ribs...you start in the oven..finish in oven or on grill...very, very good... Don't know what we will have yet...those jalapeno peppers sound good gotta be quick with a low "attendance" level..maybe something SLOW in the oven?? busy today..getting some area's ready for plants... canning salsa...

I bought one of those Rotisserie chickens at Walmart today. Theirs are GF unlike Kroger! So I made a Chicken Salad. I had boiled eggs, tomatoes , Chicken and a great dark salad mix.

I cooked soupy rice yesterday. Enough for days. Rice and add dried veggies and quinoa and barley. Not sure what was in that jar either more quinoa or cousious. Can't spell it. Chicken bullion. Not too bad on taste. Warm and fills tummy. Should have hunted up a jar of pasrinas as have, alphets, stars and ricey like ones.
I need cook chicken for supper.

Yes the smoked ribs were wonderful! I did a dry rub .4 tbls dark chili powder, 2 Tbls garlic powder, 2 Tbls ground mustard seeds, 1 Tbls salt, 1 Tbls ground coriander , 2 Tbks Cumin, 2 Tbs paprika, it also calls for 1 Tbls ground chipolte pepper, Dave cannot do hot. It was spicy enuf with out. I have some left over putting it in a shaker and going to use it for other dishes!

burgers on the indoor grill for us tonight .. keeps snowing raining ... snowing again now ... wait its a mix ... annoying weather ... but !!!! My indoor grill is almost as good as my outdoor one .. hdsk
