Today, February 14th. I want to remember, Our Great Friend and neighbor.. AND phorum Member... Ruth Parker... Ruthie would have been 97 today, she passed away, July 21, 2014
She lived just down the road from Us...we even raised green beans there one year when we were pressed for room here
Ruthie was active, mowed her yard..a big yard, cared for her house and took care of her self, right up to a year before she passed on...
Ruth was very active in the Moland Lutheran Church. She served as WELCA President and taught Sunday school. She served on the church council and circle chairman for many years. She also served as chairman of the stewardship.
She had set up a quilting factory in their basement where they made many large quilts, baby quilts and sleeping bags in the winter months
She Loved gardening, veggies and flowers, she had Beautiful perennial beds throughout her yard A very kind women, a philanthropist...who helped many all over the world. We miss You Ruthie..
Ruthie was the sweetest lil lady! We were down to her house several times for coffee and cookies or cake. Her place was auctioned and the people who bought it lets say Ruth would not be happy with what they have done to it. It had a canning kitchen on the lower level. And canned good shelves galore! We miss her very much!
