Pholks, we don't do fast food..we don't do many of the other food joints either... we CHECK EM' OFF the list one at a time after eating at most.. But NOT this one! It's one of a kind...Food is SUPERB, Staff is fast, friendly & Courteous... Now, it IS a bit SPENDY...Dinner for two and a cocktail will set you back about 80 bucks..However...after all... It's in the top 500 restaurants in the nation!! but it's Our Special Occasion spot.... And after all...we get so little time for ourselves... We have mentioned it before...HOPEFULLY we can go there again..soon..celebrate Laura's 1 year Cancer Free anniversary (hint..hint) Hubble House Restaurant Now although possible, It's unlikely any of You will ever sit down to dinner here...But If You do, the place is a “Who’s Who” of well known folks..and the ambiance is that of the frontier days Visitors over the years include: Senator Alexander Ramsey, President U.S. Grant, Brother Bishop Whipple, Horace Greeley, Ole Bull, and W.W. Mayo, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, First Lady-Lady Bird Johnson, Minnesota Twins players – Kent Hrbek & Harmon Killebrew, Mickey Mantle, actors – Roy Rogers, Fred McMurray, James Whitmore, Danny Kaye, Bruce Dern and many more. The entire Minnesota Vikings Football Team came three times in the 1990s. Laura LOVES the Haddock..this is one BIG HUNK OF FISH!! I..go for the Prime Rib... Here's what the Hubble House AND the Waitresses Looked like back in 1884So Pholks If you are ever in Our neck of the woods, this is about 20 minutes or so from the Pharm..and If You ever have the Mis?-fortune of going to Mayo..in Rochester, mn. it's about 20 minutes from there to the Hubble... Visit the Site for Menu details and some really nice shots of the Fabulous interior at: www.hubbellhouserestaurant.com/

Looks like it would be one COLD spot in the winter... Don't know a lot about Polish Cuisine...but I always like to try new things...

We are sorta in cow country... But yeah..everything good here is expensive..then..when the bill comes... You have the FABULOUS MINNESOTA "Eat In" tax (not applicable if you "carry Out") 8.375% And then a 15% Tip.... Reckon that's why...we don't go unless it's a Special Occasion.. Which..By the Way.. We are celebrating and Going to the Hubble..Tomorrow!! Friday I'll check out the links Ya'll have provided...

Truth be known.......we only go out to eat 2 or maybe 3 times a year.....for us it just costs too damn much....and besides, we can cook better at home.

That is about how many times we go out too bro..2-3 times a year...Celebration times..special days... We get too damn busy to DINE in the summer...aside from the fresh veggies..we eat pretty damn poor because there's never time to cook... And when we both are tired...Fortunately we have a cheap, good food restaurant nearby (8 miles) so, unless we are dead tired from gardening and not wanting to cook..have forgotten to get bologna, or have forgotten to take something outa da fridge What You said is our criteria for EVER going back to any spot: It's got to be better than we can fix at home!!
