Hey everyone!! A lot has changed in the last few years We moved to Maine.. 5 acres with not much area to garden.. I.will post pics if I can figure out photobucket or something else 😂 .. I also had a heart attack 3 years ago ...which has.tossed me into a tailspin with memory loss and weight gain.. Ugg getting older sucks! which has tossed me into doing the keto diet and a mile or two on the treadmill everyday ..
But i will try and get back on track and pop in a lot more.
Planning my garden for the season .. How are all you?

Sorry to hear of the reason...I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and have gotten it fairly under control...lost weight...could use a treadmill in this weather...Can't wait for Pics!

Yep check Craigslist sometimes you can get treadmills for free.. There was one here on the online yardsale for free yesterday.. I become a hermit in the winter .. It will be nice to get some growth around the house .. I will check out the picture site thanks Phil

Missed you Rita.Sorry to hear all the tribulations,glad you are finding a way to health.Dumping carbs is a good thing IMO,at least has been for me,also type 2 diabetes recently but controlled by keto diet.Folks that havent had their bodies ruined by the sugar epidemic and fat demonization disaster and can still eat carbs,lucky them for sure. Ive been using imgur for photos,pretty simple. So good to hear from you!

I will check out the picture site thanks Phil yes I have been looking at those kind of sources, so far I have found a couple, but both needed a part. or something unknown wrong... Sad, But I'm looking for someone that has a good one, but has given up I am DEFINITELY a hermit in winter...so is Laura..but she still works...other than that, all the vendors at the Farmers market keep asking/inviting Us to go peddle goodies at other "winter Venues". we claim "Hermit Mode" Perhaps we need a carb beaters board?? Again, Welcome back Rita!!

I will have a tator...but only half of a small one, 1/4 of a large. My last Dr. visit the Doc was excited that my A1c had dropped from 11 to 7 and he said ..."what ever you are doing...keep it up. My approach is this...If I didn't have these few things that are bad...I'd have them ALL I pride myself in being able to look at a certain dish and be able to say You, look at you all bad for me...well, I'll have 3 bites! Rice for cauliflower, going to try mashed cauliflower for dinner I do fathead dough for pizza .. And vodka with sparkling ice for cocktail 🍸 .. Other than that i dont eat a lot of bread anyhow .. And i find most recipes on Pinterest .. Gotta go get the boys some pants 😈

With your health issues I understand. I didn't have any issues really, BP a little high, but when I went in and my blood sugar was 386...I knew I had to make a few changes. Now I suppose You have me figured by now to be pretty darn set in my ways If I restrict myself too much, too fast...Deny myself things I like completely...I will fail miserably. The progress I have made encourages me to try harder, eat even less and exercise... Before next winter, we will have some sort of walker or treadmill... We walked the other day ...it was 16° with a -10 wind chill...today, forget about it,Way to cold We went from a 12inch plate to a 8 inch plate, we quit sugar in our morning coffee completely and add no sugar to anything I make us. No white rice, no white flour... I drink Whiskey and diet coke...Laura has the whiskey with sprite zero...I figure that the artificial sweeteners aren't quite as bad as the sugar...but not much. We have taken up drinking sparkling water with a non sugar flavoring...I may start using that as a mixer. so for yesterday my total carbs was 74...and I am fine with that

I have not gone over ...well except for the cheat day .. Which was probably close to 100 😂 I dont eat all the fat meats either bacon once a week or so .... I do protein carbs and calories .. Which are always under as well ..cheese is my big downfall but i limit that also as long as I can have it ... Im good .. Coke zero seems to be better flavor to me .. Not that super diet flavor .. The treadmill has saved me in the winter ... At least i can be mobile while im in a hermit zone ☺

When we went to dinner tonight i had a Reuben without the bread and extra sauerkraut on the side instead of fries .. Phil i thought it would be more difficult to stay in the 20's i admit i was hungry the first week and ate tons of hard boiled eggs 😂 and pork rinds .. Sugar cravings .. Ugg it was bad .. Keto flu is no joke either .. But now its just normal i get full faster .. I eat plant based pasta .. Plan on trying to make the keto yeast bread tomorrow .. If it tastes like crap i will make bread crumbs 😵😖

Hey Phil and Rita.Ive made a keto sandwich that works pretty darn good.The wheat really disagrees with my sugars so I have to avoid it a lot.
What Im doing is making cheese sandwiches.I take 2 slices and for today I used Swiss.From the wally sliced cheese things,price is right for sure. I added leftover corned beef chopped up on one slice.Little mustard and put the other slice on top.Pretty good,still miss my bread but its darn edible and tasty.Great way to use leftover meat.And quick too,a fast meal.Can doll it up however you like.Im loving it!

The supermarket here cut hours from 7am-11pm,to 8am-9pm.Still busy in the 8pm-9pm time frame.Bummer.Had a good thing going before that change.

I do not have choice of hours to shop I run on cash I waited till today to see what money I had left I had $85 got $47 left That includes lunch what cost and was poorly cooked
